Conway Publications is committed to publishing high-quality work in the fields of music and music education while guaranteeing low prices for our readers and maximizing royalties to our authors. Conway Publications strives to meet the needs of all authors, regardless of audience size, which allows authors with highly specialized areas of expertise to publish their work in a professional, collaborative way.

Conway Publications was created by Dr. Colleen Conway, Professor of Music Education at the University of Michigan, and her husband, Dr. Tom Hodgman, retired Professor of Music at Adrian College, as an outlet for authors in the fields of music and music education. Colleen has published books with some of the largest publishing houses in the world, including Oxford University Press, Rowan & Littlefield, and GIA. While large publishing companies such as these cater to authors that promise a wide audience, Conway Publications strives to meet the needs of all authors, regardless of audience size. In doing so, Conway Publications allows authors with highly specialized areas of expertise to publish their work in a professional, collaborative way.

Collaboration is at the heart of Conway Publications. Our authors receive extensive support from both Colleen and Tom throughout the writing and editing process. We work alongside our authors to develop content, graphics, music examples, and book stylings, including the more creative processes such as cover art design. Once finished, Conway Publications manages the printing services, purchasing platforms, promotional materials, shipping and distribution, and bookkeeping of sales, while maintaining full transparency with the author.
